Genuine VDO aluminum drive unit for the speedometer head of various mopeds with 17" wheels.
The speedometer drive is mounted on the left side of the 17-inch front wheel and features two brackets for mounting and securing it. This speedometer worm gear was factory-installed on mopeds with a Sachs V 901 wheel hub and a 9.5 mm axle. If the hole is reamed to 11 or 12 mm, it can also be used with other axles and hubs.
An opening for lubrication is recessed into the housing to allow for maintenance of the speedometer drive or to press grease onto the speedometer worm gear.
